In this video, we’ll walk you through the steps to identify power issues with your patio shade or awning.

The first thing to check is the remote control. A weak or dead battery can prevent the shade from operating. Try replacing the batteries to restore functionality. Next, take a look at your power source. If your system is hard-wired, check your electrical panel to see if a breaker has tripped. If you find a tripped breaker, flip it off and then back on to reset it. This can often resolve
unexpected power interruptions. If you check the breaker and still don’t have power, it’s possible a GFI is tripped and needs to be reset. We recommend resetting all GFI outlets in your home. Simply locate the outlets reset button and press it. This often restores power without the need for additional troubleshooting. Once you’ve checked these items, test the shade again using the remote. If it still doesn’t respond, the issue could be with the motor or internal wiring. In which case, contact us.
