Installation / Product Warranty
THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE EXTENT OF EACH MANUFACTURER’S PRODUCT WARRANTY. PLEASE CONSULT EACH MANUFACTURER’S DOCUMENTS FOR SPECIFIC WARRANTY INFORMATION.
This warranty is not transferable. This warranty applies only to products properly installed in the window, door or area for which they were intended. Installation of the product must be in accordance with manufacturer specifications; the product cannot be modified. Damage to the product resulting from improper removal or reinstallation, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty. This warranty does not apply to conditions caused by normal wear and tear upon the product. In no event shall the provider or the manufacturer be liable for INCIDENTAL or CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES or for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost, expense or fee. Our warranty obligation excludes shipping charges.
Within one year from the date of installation, we will provide on-site service to make necessary repairs or replacements at no charge provided the repair or replacement is due to a valid product warranty claim or installation defect. We also extend a one-time, no charge adjustment within the first 90 days after installation. Adjustments include limit changes, pitch changes, mounting locations and defective battery replacement, but exclude changes to the ordered product like size, color and operation. This warranty only applies to shades installed by an authorized Innovative Openings’ technician and does not apply to purchaser installed products.
On-site service/labor is chargeable for non-warranty trips during the first year, or after the first year of installation. Chargeable rates include a trip charge, plus a minimum of ½ hour of labor per technician. A 50% credit card deposit on the estimated service total, based on information provided by the purchaser, is required to schedule an appointment. Final charges are determined on-site and will be run on the same card after service is complete. Our technician(s) will go over any charges that may exceed estimated service total before work is completed. After one year, we will repair or replace the product to the extent of the manufacturer’s warranty, provided it is returned to our location and it is determined that the claim is a valid warranty claim.
For exterior products: Damage resulting from use in windy or freezing conditions is not covered under any warranty. Patio shades and awnings are for sun and/or bug protection purposes. Damage resulting from use in windy or freezing conditions will be subject to service charges, even within the one-year labor warranty period.
Hidden, concealed and unforeseeable conditions may exist at the mounting location of your products; these are conditions not readily observable to a prudent contractor inspecting the visible and easily accessible construction within the scope of this project. Innovative Openings shall promptly notify purchaser and discuss with purchaser options for proceeding, including possible change orders. Purchaser acknowledges that the presence of hidden or unforeseeable conditions may result in modifications to the scope of work and may increase costs and fees.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to move furniture, decorations, or art from or around your window/installation area; Innovative Openings is not responsible for damage to possessions due to purchaser’s failure to remove these items.
