This video provides a step-by-step guide to charging Insolroll battery-powered shades. It covers three types of systems: battery wands, embedded battery motors, and magnetic connectors—demonstrating how to safely connect chargers, recognize charging indicators, and confirm proper operation afterward. It also covers some recommendations to maintain optimal shade performance.
In this video, we’ll walk you through the steps to charge your Insolroll battery shades. Follow along to ensure a smooth and damage free process.
To charge shades with a battery wand, first locate the battery wand. Unplug the wand from the shade
and if necessary, remove from the mounting brackets. Plug the charger into the wand.
For shades with embedded battery motors, locate the charging port on the shade. In some cases, the charging port may be towards the back of the shade. Plug the charging cable into the port
with the metal contact pins facing out. Ensure the connection is secure and attach
the other end to a standard outlet. Once connected, an LED light on the charger will turn red. Once fully charged, it will turn green. Charging can take around three hours.
For shades with a magnetic connection, the process is even easier. Just make sure the magnetic extension connects to the charging cable and you’re good to go.
Return the battery to the brackets or unplug the charger from the shade. Test the shade to ensure it operates smoothly after charging. Regularly charging your battery when it’s low will help maintain optimal performance.
